As always, all forums must have some rules laid down.
Besides ProBoard's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, this forum also has certain things for you to know about.
For one, don't use your Adblockers here, as ProBoards doesn't want us running them. So just add this forum to your whitelist, and you should be good to go. While I advocate the use of Adblockers due to the majority of the internet wanting to allow the use of Flash, seizurific or noisy ads, Proboards will not allow those types to go through, so that should not be a problem. If there's a problem with any ads, please contact them, not me! I am not responsible for you being contacted and/or banned by Proboards because you didn't listen. ;)
Primarily, this forum was made specifically for members of the 152nd VSAAG Spaceborne outfit in Planetside 2 on the Connery server. We're not a strict outfit! We just play to have fun. We're casually organized for the most part, but when we have to, we use more organized tactics to get the job done. The outfit is run by OzModeusX, who also served in the United States Marine Corps. The outfit is small, but we don't want to be known for the numbers, as we prefer quality over quantity.
While the majority of the forum is open to most, only those in the outfit can access the outfit's board. If you can't post there yet, just wait and someone will add you to the 152nd group to give you access. We also have boards for other outfits in the VS faction to discuss tactics or operations with us, as well as having a board specifically for any incidents that may have happened. This is a member's only forum, so keep in mind if you invite others here, that they know they have to register to gain access to the forum.
As for forum-specific rules... just basically follow what ProBoards has down. Don't be a dick, use common sense, and you'll do fine here. No name-calling, racism, sexism, etc. Keep it civil and fun!
So with that, our outfit rules:
Team killing: We don't like it. We absolutely hate it. We also hate it when it's done to us. Accidental team killing is fine, as it's bound to happen in this game no matter how careful you or others are. The game or server can lag, and the next thing you know, you got run over by a tank because either you didn't see that it was coming, or we didn't pop up on their screen at the time. It's inevitable. However, when some moron decides to shoot at us on purpose just to be a dick, or outright kill us or destroy our vehicles, that's what we don't tolerate. Not only does it waste our time, but it also wastes our resources. We tend to kill the team killers and griefers, but if they continue to do it after that, just go ahead and report them for griefing. Don't make it a habit to continuously get your revenge on them. They usually learn after the first time.
We also have a RaidCall group/server. Go here to download it, and once you've got it installed and running, go to the search bar near the top, and type in "5873938", and it should send you straight to the group. Add it to your list, so you can go to "My Groups" and join from there each time you login. RaidCall is much more preferable than the ingame voice, as it comes in clearer and is more reliable. Also, make sure to either disable your in-game squad voice key, or remap it to something different, and remap your RaidCall PTT (Push to Talk) key to something more preferable. This way, you don't come in on both channels at once.
With that, I hope your forum experience is a great one! It's still a work in progress, so boards might get requested to be added, and the theme might get tweaked to be more visually pleasing, or more themes to be added when possible. I also want a forum appropriate banner (100 pixels in height) to match the feel and look of the forum. For now, however, the forum is usable.
